We recommend savoring 1 tablet 1-2 times a day in your mouth after brushing and flossing and when eating or drinking can be avoided for 30 minutes after. This gives the beneficial bacteria a chance to colonize in your mouth without being flushed away by food or drink.

 

A dental probiotic increases the levels of natural and beneficial bacteria in the mouth to support teeth and gums, as well as overall health and wellness. Most people lack sufficient beneficial bacteria in their mouths to keep harmful bacteria in check, so that's why it is important to supplement with a dental probiotic.

While we strongly recommend that our probiotics be taken for as long as symptoms of oral disease are present, we also suggest that they be taken during times of good health to keep your oral microbiome from reverting back to its previous state. However, if you'd like to track the specific bacteria present in your mouth, we recommend that your dentist analyze results of a salivary test to determine an exact protocol.

Yes! Our dental probiotic is safe for children, but we always recommend checking with your pediatrician if you have any concerns. We also recommend parents use their best judgement as to whether the mints may be a choking hazard, however they may be cut or crushed for small children.

Yes, and we actually recommend it! Studies have shown that a mother's oral bacteria may be linked to the bacteria that initially inhabits her baby. If you do have any concerns though, we always recommend checking with your doctor first.

Unfortunately, no.  Our fresh minty flavor is enhanced by xylitol, which is toxic to dogs and other animals.

If your furry friend has gotten into your probiotics, tell your veterinarian there are 498mg of xylitol in each tablet.

Our bacteria are in a dormant state while they are in the bottle. As soon as they make contact with your saliva they activate and begin to colonize.

We have formulated our toothpaste with 10% regular (non-nano) hydroxyapatite.

Unfortunately, there is some misinformation circling the internet regarding the ingredient, glycerin. The idea that glycerin prevents hydroxyapatite from remineralizing enamel appears to have originated from the work of Dr. Gerard Judd, a retired chemistry professor who published a book in 1996 called “Good Teeth, Birth to Death.” In the book, Dr. Judd argues that glycerin is a harmful ingredient in toothpaste because it coats the teeth and prevents them from absorbing the minerals they need to stay strong.

There are no studies that prove Dr. Judd’s theory that glycerin impedes remineralization. In fact, glycerin is highly water soluble so once it touches the mouth, it dissolves immediately and will release anything that's tied to it, such as hydroxyapatite.

Shipping is free for domestic orders of $50 or more. For domestic orders under $50, there is a standard $4.95 shipping charge applied to every order.  Similarly, shipping is free for international orders of $70 or more. For international orders under $70, there is a standard $15 shipping charge applied to every order. An order is defined as the total amount of the product ordered, excluding tax and shipping. 

We currently ship to all of the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.  We hope to be able to ship everywhere else soon!

Orders usually process within 1-3 business days and are shipped via standard shipping, 4-7 business days.

We have a 30-day refund policy on first time orders only, which means you have 30 days after receiving your initial order to request a refund of up to a maximum of $50 USD.
